PURPOSE: A discharge valve apparatus for rotary compressor is provided to prevent operating noise of the compressor by preventing the noise caused due to the operation of discharge valve, while improving compressor performance. CONSTITUTION: A discharge valve apparatus comprises a rolling piston arranged to contact the inner periphery of a compression chamber of a cylinder(51), and which operates by a rotating shaft; a vane(57) inserted, to be movable in a linear manner, into the cylinder, and which has an end slide-contacting the outer periphery of the rolling piston so as to divide the compression chamber into a suction space and a compression space; a main bearing(59) arranged onto the cylinder in such a manner as to support the rotating shaft, and which has a discharge hole(59a) communicated to a discharge port(51a) of the cylinder; a valve member(61) installed to the main bearing in such a manner that the valve member moves in upward and downward directions by a slope portion of the vane in accordance with the linear movement of the vane, so as to thereby open/shut the discharge hole of the main bearing; and a support member(67) mounted onto the valve member, and which supports the valve member in such a manner that the lower end of the valve member maintains contacting relation with the upper surface of the vane and the state where the discharge hole is shut by the valve member during compression of refrigerant gas.
