A polyolefin such as polyethylene or polypropylene is stabilized with 0.1 to 5% of asphalt, bitument, tar or pitch, preferably a material containing 2 to 6% of sulphur. Optional ingredients are carbon black and toluene. The products find application as fibre, film, plates and bars. |
