COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING EXTRACT OF BELAMCANDA CHINENSIS

PURPOSE: A composition containing extract of Belamcanda chinensis is provided which suppresses inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) expression to inhibit the production of NO. Therefore, it keeps skin clean. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 0.05-10.0, wt.% of extract of Belamcanda chinensis based on the weight of cosmetic composition, further 0.025-5.0 wt.% of vitamin C, and/or 0.025-5.0 wt.% of vitamin E based on the weight of cosmetic composition. Belamcanda chinensis extract is prepared by extracting Belamcanda chinensis using mixed solvent of water and alcohol then adding organic solvent, such as ethylacetate, chloroform or dichloromethane, and water thereto to separate two phases; separating organic solvent fraction therefrom; drying extract under reduced pressure.
