PURPOSE: A Korean consonant/vowel code and method for allocating Korean consonant/vowel is provided to achieve an improved user convenience and reduce Korean consonant/vowel input time by allowing a user to combine consonants and vowels and input Korean character in an easy manner onto the number pad of telephone. CONSTITUTION: A basic consonant group consists of gi-yok, ni-on, di-gut, ri-ol, mi-um, bi-op, si-ot, i-ung, ji-ot and hee-ot, and fortes and plosives are derived from the basic consonants and have forties keys and plosive keys. Double consonants are created by the combination of basic constants and basic vowels or basic constants and plosives. A basic vowel group consists of a, ya, eo, yeo, o, yo, u, yu, eui, and i, and double vowels are created by the combination of basic vowels.
