PURPOSE: To provide a solid electrolyte battery that can further be made thinner and lighter, has improved energy densities of weight and volume, and has an excelled airtightness, and its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION: This battery is equipped with first electrodes 2 having a first electrode active substance layer 2b formed on one surface of a first collector 2a by leaving peripheral edge portions of the said first collector 2a as collector- exposed portions 2c, a second electrode 3 having a second electrode active substance layer 3b formed on both faces of the second collector 3a, and a solid electrolytic substance 6 interposed between the above first and second electrodes 2 and 3. The second electrode 3 above is sandwiched by the above first electrodes 2 through the above solid electrolytic substance 6 so that first and second electrode active substance layers 2b and 3b face each other, and also enclosed therein by joining the collector-exposed portions 2c of the above first electrodes. |
