PURPOSE: An organic electro-luminescence with an external resonator is provided to improve color purity of an organic electro-luminescent device by using an external resonator. CONSTITUTION: A transparent electrode layer(22) is formed on an upper portion of a glass substrate(21). A hole transfer layer(23), a luminescent layer(24), and an electron transfer layer are formed sequentially on the transparent electrode layer(22). A cathode electrode layer of a predetermined pattern is formed on an upper portion of the electron transfer layer. The hole transfer layer, the luminescent layer, and the electron transfer layer are formed with organic compounds. A hole injected from the selected transparent electrode layer is moved to the luminescent layer through the hole transfer layer if a voltage is applied between the selected transparent electrode layer and the cathode electrode layer. The electrons are injected from the cathode electrode layer to the luminescent layer through the electron transfer layer. Exitons are generated by combining carriers with the luminescent layer. |
