PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connection structure of a rational drain discharge valve which obviates the need for installing a filter, a strainer, etc., in piping, reduces an initial cost for installation, is easy of maintenance, and can easily remove a foreign material with a drain treatment function kept even when a large amount of the foreign material is mixed. SOLUTION: A sludge protection fence 8 is formed in the neighbourhood of a drain discharge opening 3a in a drain tank 3 to cover the inside of the opening. The fence 8 is composed of a wall body 8a having numbers of through holes which has a dog leg-shaped plane and is higher than the upper end of the opening and a flange part 8b for fixing. The foreign material such as sludge deposited in the bottom part of the drain tank is discharged by opening a manual drain valve 9. The mesh diameter of the wall body 8a is smaller than the orifice diameter of a drain discharge valve 4 and is about 4 mm.
