POLYMERIZABLE COMPOSITION AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymerizable composition for providing a cured material having excellent optical characteristics (high transparency, high refractive index and high Abbe's number), excellent thermal characteristics and mechanical characteristics and high productivity, useful as various kinds of optical parts. SOLUTION: This polymerizable composition is characterized by comprising a sulfur-containing (meth)acrylic acid ester compound represented by formula (1) and a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound represented by formula (2) as polymerizable compounds in a polymerizable composition composed of the polymerizable compounds and a polymerization initiator as essential components.
