PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of scratches, deformation and dislocation of a molding caused by contact of a coating fixture with an inner face of a glass run side wall and an inner face of a lip when a coating device is installed on an extrusion line. SOLUTION: The coating device 21 is used for coating the inner face of the lip bent to an inner side of a channel from an inner face of a wall of the channel for the glass run and a tip end part of the side wall with a coating. The coating fixture 22 disposed on the extrusion line of the glass run is provided with nozzles 35-37 for jetting compressed air and a powdery coating material on a plurality of tip parts 24c-27c inserted between the inner face of the side wall and the inner face of the lip during extruding. The compressed air and the powdery coating are simultaneously jetted from nozzle openings 35a-37b of the respective nozzles onto both the inner face of the side wall and the inner face of the lip so as to apply the coating through stirring action of the compressed air while forming a small clearance between each of the inner faces and the outer face of the tip end.
