SEPARATION AND RECOVERY METHOD OF IODINE USING NONPOROUS POLYMER MEMBRANE AS DIALYSIS MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively separating and recovering iodine from an aqueous solution containing iodine by using a nonporous polymer membrane as a dialysis membrane. SOLUTION: Molecular iodine in an aqueous solution is separated into a recovery solution via a selected dialysis membrane and is recovered. By dissolving a strong alkali or a reducing agent in the recovery solution, dialyzed molecular iodine is ionized, thus reverse dialysis of the iodine is prevented and the iodine is effectively separated and recovered.
