PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric water heater excellent in usability by the pursuit of operational easiness and display comprehensibility. SOLUTION: The electric water heater comprises a vertically bisected input/ output part 12 for input to and output from a control circuit 11. The upper part 12a mainly has an operating part 13 with a plurality of operating means 13a for an operation of the control circuit 11, and the lower part 12b mainly has a display part 14 with a plurality of display means 14a for displaying the condition of the control circuit 11. The operating part 13 and the display part 14 are structurally specifically divided. Concentration of the display part 14, interrelation between the operating part 13 and the display part 14, functional grouping of the operating part 13, condition grouping of the display part 14, and the like can improve the operational easiness and display comprehensibility of the electric water heater.
