METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING ADDITIONAL DATA BETWEEN PORTABLE TELEPHONES

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting additional data between portable telephones is provided to exactly and conveniently store personal information of the other party by transmitting personal information in real time through a call channel between the portable telephones. CONSTITUTION: The first portable telephone makes a telephone to the second portable telephone(S502). The second portable telephone answers the telephone(S504) and thereby a call channel is formed for enabling a telephone call, and request and approval for transmitting an electronic calling card through a voice call(S506). The electronic calling card to be transmitted from the first portable telephone to the second portable telephone is selected in course of transmitting and receiving voice data through the call channel(S508). The first portable telephone transmits the selected electronic calling card to the second portable telephone(S510). The transmitted electronic calling card is stored at the second portable telephone(S512). The electronic calling card to be transmitted from the second portable telephone to the first portable telephone is selected(S514). The selected electronic calling card is transmitted to the first portable telephone(S516). The first portable telephone stores the transmitted electronic calling card(S518) and maintains the call channel(S520).
