PURPOSE: A system and method of an enterprise resource planning based on a network is provided to perform an enterprise resource planning in a plurality of companies through a network, display statistical data by industry, region or state, and access to a database not only in an office but also in other places. CONSTITUTION: An enterprise resource planning service system(160) is connected to a plurality of clients(102,104,112,114) through Internet(150). Ordinary users(10,12) access to the enterprise resource planning service system(160) through an Internet browser, such as Internet explorer, Netscape, etc. Meantime, companies(16,18) access to the enterprise resource planning service system(160) through a separate program whose security is more strengthened than others. A plurality of clients(102,104,112,114) within the company access to the enterprise resource planning service system(160) through LAN severs(100,110). The enterprise resource planning is carried out with the minimum manpower. Many works needed for obtaining and processing statistical data can be omitted. The enterprise resource planning system can be used even when there are many works to do.
