PURPOSE: A dispersant prepared from black liquor from pulp/paper manufacturing industries for the application as dispersant to dye, cement and ready mixed concrete is provided. CONSTITUTION: In the pulp/paper manufacturing black liquor that generated after cooking process is stored in a vessel(2-A) where chlorinated decolorants such as hydrogen peroxide or sodium hypochlorite are used to bleach the black liquor in needed. Black liquor that was optionally treated in the vessel(2-A) is introduced into a vessel(2-B) to adjust hydrogen-ion concentration by adding diluted sulfuric acid. In a concentration adjustment vessel(2-C) equipped with an evaporator the concentration of dispersant is adjusted by adding or evaporating water, and then a preservative(0.1-1wt.% based on the weight of the black liquor) is added to the black liquor as agitating for 3 min in a preservative injection vessel(2-D). The amount of the preservative is depending on conditions of bacterial growth yet it is unnecessary to add a preservative to black liquor in case that it is to be used for cement or ready mixed concrete.
