PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent for a glass fiber, which hardly generates a toxic gas when the coating agent is burned and by which the coating film having satisfactory tenacity, softness and weavability is formed even in the case that a flame retardant is added and to provide a glass fiber bundle which is coated with the coating agent for the glass fiber and is excellent in softness and weavability and a glass fiber-knitted/braided material high in softness. SOLUTION: This water-dispersed coating agent for the glass fiber contains water, particles of the polyolefin containing ethylene and/or propylene as monomer components and particles of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing ethylene and vinyl acetate as monomer components.
