PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material particularly having an excellent heat resistance, blocking resistance, printing quality and the like without interlaminar release in the ink jet recording material suitable for ink jet recording. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording material comprises an ink adsorption layer containing a water absorbable resin as a main component and a heat resistant layer as an outermost layer. In this case, the heat resistant layer is formed of a resin composition for the heat resistant layer formed by coating a temporary support. The ink jet recording material is manufactured by melt extruding a film made of the resin composition for the heat resistant layer formed by coating the heat resistant layer on the temporary support on a base, simultaneously transferring the film onto the ink adsorption layer, and thereafter releasing the temporary support. |
