PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the shortcomings that when the backrest section of a variable bed is tilted or raised, the variable bed becomes an unstable posture, and the transfer of the configuration is not smoothly performed in a multi- functional bed wherein the variable bed of which the configuration can be changed to a wheelchair is fitted in a U-shaped fixed bed. SOLUTION: This multi-functional bed is constituted of the variable bed 3 of which the configuration can be changed into a wheelchair, and the fixed bed 2 in which the variable bed 3 can be detachably fitted. In such a multi- functional bed, a holding member which keeps the vertical location of the variable bed 3 to the fixed bed is provided between the fixed bed 2 and the variable bed 3. Then, the holding member is constituted of a pair of top and bottom guide rails 141 and 143, and guide rollers 131 and 133. In this case, the top and bottom guide rails 141 and 143 are respectively arranged on the right and left internal surfaces in a notched recess 20a of the fixed bed 2, which is formed into an approximate U-shape. The guide rollers 131 and 133 are arranged on both sides of a seat section 34 of the variable bed 3. |
