PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial hive for Mamekobachi (Osmia cornifrons) having a nest building condition compatible with the habit of Mamekobachi, producible by a simple process at a low cost and disposable without applying load on the environment. SOLUTION: The nest building material for Mamekobachi is produced by cutting off a part of the tip end of an empty cocoon 3 to form an entrance 4. A number of the above empty cocoons 3 are packed in a closely packed state into a cylindrical frame 1 having an opening 2 at a part of at least one end and/or side face placing the entrance 4 of the empty cocoon 3 at the opening 2 of the cylindrical frame 1.
