TITANIUM DIOXIDE COATED GLASS BULB FOR INACTIVATING ALGAE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A titanium dioxide coated glass bulb for the elimination of algae is provided to prevent eutrophication of water bodies through inactivation of algae. CONSTITUTION: The titanium dioxide coated glass bulb is manufactured by (i) diluting titanium alkoxide selected from titanium tetraisopropoxide, titanium tetraethoxide and titanium tetrabutoxide with anhydrous alcohol, followed by dropping acid solution to prepare a sol-solution; (ii) dipping a glass bulb in the sol-solution; (iii) lifting it up at a ratio 20cm/min or less, followed by drying with microwave; (iv) calcining the glass bulb in the temperature range 300 to 600deg.C for 0.5-10hrs wherein temperature elevation rate within the range of 300 to 600deg.C is 1-20deg.C/min.
