PURPOSE: A gas sensor manufacturing method and a jig used in the method are provided to introduce an automation system for effectively carrying out the wire-bonding, welding and cutting, thereby improving the assembling work and the productivity with a uniform quality by automating the line connection work. CONSTITUTION: A gas sensor manufacturing method includes the steps of preparing a plate type lead frame(10) formed with one or more than two longitudinal holes(10a) for positioning sensor chips and a jig system for positioning the lead frame and the sensor chips, positioning the lead frame and the sensor chips on the jig system in such a manner that the sensor chips are positioned in the sensor chip positioning holes of the lead frame, bonding electrode pads(14a) of the sensor chips with the lead frame by wires(16), separating the lead frame wire-bonded with the sensor chips from the jig system, laying the lead frame on a stem(17) for coupling stem heads(18a) of stem pins(18) of the stem with the lead frame by welding the stem heads with the wires, and cutting connection parts of the lead frame and the upper end part of the stem.
