PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like object mounting device in a printing machine capable of securely mounting the sheet-like object on a mounting member irrespective of the size or mounting position of the sheet-like object. SOLUTION: A suction means 12 ahs such a construction that when a valve element 13 is pressed by a spring 14, a head part 13a of the valve element 13 is ejected from a mounting face of the sheet-like object, a plate 80, in such a state that a valve part 13b of the valve element 13 abutts on a valve seat 14a of a casing 14 so that the head part 13a of the valve element 13 is pressed by the plate 80 and the valve part 13b is parted from the valve seat 14a for working the suction force due to the negative pressure on the plate 80.
