PORTABLE TERMINAL RINGER TONE MODIFICATION PROGRAM SERVICE METHOD

PURPOSE: A portable terminal ringer tone modification program service method is provided to use a desired sound, breaking from the monotony of bell sounds embedded in a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A homepage that provides a portable terminal ringer tone modification program is provided through the Internet. If a user inserts a desired CD into the CD-ROM driver after downloading this program and installing it in his/her computer, the program is automatically activated. The user regenerates the CD in order to appoint a desired sound source as a ringer tone. If a portion the user wants to store as a ringer tone is regenerated, he/she clicks on a recording button. If the recording of the desired portion is finished, the user can transmit it by clicking on a download button. If the user clicks on the download button after inputting the phone number of a mobile phone to use the recorded portion as a ringer tone, the status of downloading is displayed. The sound source changed into a sound file by the program is transmitted to the inputted terminal. Software embedded in the terminal recognizes the transmitted file, and asks him/her whether he/she wants to appoint this file as a ringer tone.
