PURPOSE: A lead screw type opening and closing device for multiple dies is provided to simultaneously open and close a lot pairs of dies with the same stroke and to accomplish smooth operation by minimizing the frictional resistance in the transmission of power. CONSTITUTION: A lead screw type opening and closing device for multiple die comprises: a mobile plate(100) linearly moving on a mobile template(220) with the mobile template; a fixed plate(110) fixed on a fixed template by a fixing member(240); at least one of middle plates installed between the mobile plate and the fixed plate; a guider(130) supporting active linear movement of the mobile plate and the middle plate; and an opening and closing unit constituting of a screw having threads and a nut engaged with the screw and connecting the mobile plate with the middle plate and the middle plate with the fixed plate for the same stroke opening and closing. The direction of the threads of the opening and closing unit is opposite to each other, and the screw rotates by a center bearing(142). The nuts are a left-hand nut(150) and a right-hand nut(160), and many ball bearings(151) are received in the nuts. At both sides of the screw, ball separation preventing members(153) are formed. The opening and closing device is mounted between the mobile and fixed templates operated by a hydraulic cylinder(210) of an injector(200), and opened and closed by the linear movement of the mobile template. According to the rotation of the screw engaged with the nuts, dies are opened and closed at the same speed and stroke.
