PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a call of a mobile communication terminal are provided to normally settle accounts of the call charge by performing normal call termination using an auxiliary battery. CONSTITUTION: If a main battery is mounted at a mobile communication terminal, an auxiliary battery embedded in a power circuit part becomes charged with fixed volume of electricity by receiving power supply from the main battery(S10). A voice call or data communication function is proceeded through a speaker and a microphone(S11). A micro processor determines whether a call termination of a key pad is operated or a flip of the mobile communication terminal is closed for terminating the call(S12). If determining that the call termination key is operated or the flip is closed, the micro processor normally terminates the voice call or the data communication function(S13). Otherwise, the micro processor determines whether power source of the main battery is interrupted(S14). If determining that the main battery is interrupted, the micro processor transmits information data of call termination and information data of call time counted during the voice call to a system taking charge of accounting of an exchanger through an RF signal processing part and an antenna(S15).
