PURPOSE: A method and a device for an internet web surfing using a character is provided to enable a user to order necessary information or a commodity by watching a screen of a terminal by character surfing. CONSTITUTION: If a member connects to a site, a controller of a server operates a selection bar code generating unit(S1), and a selection bar code is displayed on a screen of a terminal of a user(S2). The selection bar code is set differently in accordance with age, sex, and an occupation of a user. The bar code is a cyber index being stored in a memory unit. If a bar code is selected, a plurality of characters generated in a character generating unit are displayed(S3), and it is judged whether the user selects a specific character(S4). If the user selects a specific character, a character voice and a background music are selected(S5), and a cyber studio is selected(S6), and the selected character is moved and the kind of the cyber is selected(S7,S8). A trip to a selected cyber space and a user-wanted shopping corner are performed(S9, S10), and it is judged whether the user orders a wanted commodity during the trip(S11). If an order exists, it is judged whether the user wants to attach a character to the ordered commodity(S12). If the user wants to attach a character to the ordered commodity, a character is attached to the ordered commodity(S13). If a paying system is checked(S14), the commodity is delivered to the user(S16).
