A fan device for cooling or heating food stored in stackable food boxes (17) is characterised by the following features: the fan assembly is suitably adapted for or is provided with a suitable adapter device for cooling or heating food that is stored in at least one, preferably several, food boxes (17) stacked next to each other and/or behind each other and/or on top of each other. The adaptation and/or the embodiment is such that the fan device (3) enables forced air circulation through the one or more food boxes (17), through the opening (29, 29') provided in the side walls (27) of the one or more food boxes (17) and/or through intermediate gaps between the upper edge (17') of one food box (17) and the lower stack edge or base (17') of the food box (17) located above. |
