PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for vibration-damping material capable of developing high vibration-damping property and a sound insulation member and a sound insulation material having excellent damping characteristics and sound insulation performances using the same. SOLUTION: This sound insulation member comprises a vibration-damping material obtained by forming a composition for vibration-damping material consisting of a chlorine-containing thermoplastic resin and a chlorinated paraffin having 12-16 average carbon atoms and a highly rigid material.
