PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock and unlock longer sidewalls and shorter sidewalls easily in a short time, thereby improving operativity in assembling and folding a folding container. SOLUTION: The folding container is assembled into a box-shaped container by raising a longer sidewall 20 in a folded state to be vertical to a base 10 and then raising a shorter sidewall 30 in a folded state to be vertical to the base. Male engaging portions 21 formed on the longer sidewall are engaged with female engaging portions 34 formed in the vicinity of both ends of the shorter sidewall. Then a fold locking piece 31 connected with the shorter sidewall via a hinge is rotated toward the shorter sidewall with the hinge 32 as the center, and a male locking portion 33 formed on the locking piece is locked with a female locking portion 35 formed on the shorter sidewall.
