PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color developing ink that has excellent color developability and very good printability and provide a non-carbon pressure sensitive copying paper on which the color developing ink having good color developability is printed. SOLUTION: The color developing ink comprises as the main components an electron-accepting organic color developer which forms a color by reacting with an ordinarily colorless or light-colored electron-donating coloring agent, an organic solvent for dissolving the color developer, a pigment and a vehicle, wherein the organic color developer has a viscosity at 40 deg.C of 20-100 dPa.s when it is dissolved with use of the organic solvent for dissolving it so that the content of the organic color developer attains 70 wt.% and wherein the content of the organic color developer is not less than 15 wt.% to less than 30 wt.%. As an electron-accepting organic color developer, a polyvalent metal salt of a salicylic acid derivative is preferably used. |
