PURPOSE: An image download system of a wireless terminal is provided to download several images to a screen of the wireless terminal. CONSTITUTION: If a user selects an image to be downloaded by selecting an image download of menu provided to a wireless terminal(10A), the wireless terminal(10A) transmits user information including image information selected by the user, own compression method to the corresponding server(20) connected with the wireless terminal(10A) through a wireless communication network. A receiving part of the server(20) receives user information transmitted from the wireless terminal for outputting user information to an information extracting part. The information extracting part extracts image information and compression method information of the terminal(10A) included in the received user information. A control part requests image data to a content provider providing a content appropriate for the extracted image information. A plurality of content providers(30A,30B) provides several kinds of images and provides image data requested by the server(20). The receiving part of the server(20) receives image data from the content provider for outputting image data to a compressing part. The control part operates a compressor corresponding to the extracted compression method information. The compressor compressed input image data in the corresponding compressing method and temporarily stores the compressed image data at a storing part. The compressed image data is transmitted to the wireless terminal(10A) through a transmitting part. The wireless terminal(10A) embedding a decoder restores compressed image data and displays the restored image data at a screen of the wireless terminal(10A). |
