<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make dioxins harmless, while adsorbents are used repeatedly, thereby reliably preventing the dioxins from being regenerated and to eliminate the risk of inflammation or explosion of the adsorbents. SOLUTION: An adsorption layer, on which zeolite is carried as an adsorbent, is provided in a treating device 20 for gas. An object gas, which may contain dioxins and precursors whereof, is introduced into the device 20. The dioxins and the precursors thereof in the object gas are adsorbed on the zeolite. A hot nitrogen gas is introduced into the device 20 to make harmless the dioxins and precursors thereof adsorbed on the zeolite by dechlorinating the dioxins and precursors by means of the hot nitrogen gas, thereby removing the dioxins and precursors from the zeolite.</p> |
