PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a high quality image comparable to silver salt photography by emphasizing chroma at a specific hue. SOLUTION: A specific hue for emphasizing chroma is prestored in a printer driver. Upon receiving color image data, the printer driver emphasizes the chroma of color image data at the stored hue, makes a decision whether each color ink dot is formed or not based on the emphasized image data and delivers decision results to a color printer. The color printer prints a color image where the chroma is emphasized at a preset specific hue. An image of high chroma comparable to silver salt photography can be printed when a hue which can be represented by the color printer but could not print a high chroma comparable to silver salt photography is prestored in the printer driver.
