SOLUTION: This glycoprotein to be specifically bonded to urease is obtained from a glycoprotein-containing substance, especially a glycoprotein-containing substance obtained from a milk whey or a chicken albumen by separation and purification by affinity chromatography using a column having immobilized urease of Helicobacter pylori. The glycoprotein can extremely effectively inhibit colonization of Helicobacter pylori and is useful as a food and a medicine for preventing or ameliorating peptic ulcer.
