PURPOSE: To provide a wearing article of a pants type which does not exert an uncomfortable stimulus to the wearing person's skin and is wearable simply by lowering clothes to the wearing person's lower legs. CONSTITUTION: The wearing article 1 which is composed of a front body 2 and a rear body 3 and has a girth aperture 7 in an upper part has first engaging areas 9 and 10 which extend from near the end edge of a lower end 2b of the inside surface of the front body 2 toward the top end 1a of the front body 2, a second engaging area 11 which is formed near the end edge of the bottom end 3b of the inside surface of the rear body 3 and a third engaging area 12 which parts toward the top end 3a from the second engaging area 11 and is formed on the outside surface of the rear body 3. The second and third engaging areas are engageably and disengageably engaged with the first engaging area and a pair of right and left openings 8 around the legs are formed at the wearing article 1.
