PURPOSE: A wireless telephone having a data communication function is provided to have the data communication function by multiplexing a voice signal and a data signal and processing the multiplexed signal. CONSTITUTION: A handset(304) having a data communication function converts data received from a data terminal equipment or a voice inputted from a user into a certain format signal, multiplexes the converted signal, modulates the multiplexed signal, and transmits the modulated signal by wireless. A body of a wireless telephone having the data communication function demodulates the signal received from the handset(304) having the data communication function, demultiplexes the demodulated signal, converts the demultiplexed signal into original data or voice signal, and transmits the converted signal to a data network or a telephone network.
