PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container which can be displayed with an article packaged and which can receive again the article in the off-season for storage after the article is purchased and used. SOLUTION: The packaging container comprises a box whose upper surface can be opened and a reinforcing plate received in the box, wherein notch lines across three surfaces are provided in the vicinity of the upper surface opening to allow an upper portion of the box to be opened at the notch lines. The notch lines are preferably formed to be approximately orthogonal to a corrugation direction of a corrugated fiberboard of a material of the box. In addition, a plurality of portions of the notch lines are locked by hook pieces to prevent the box from opening usually, and the box can be opened by cutting the hook pieces when displaying the packaged article.
