PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the structure of a bicycle so that physical strength is efficiently used to prevent fatigue even after long distance traveling on the bicycle. SOLUTION: In traveling on a bicycle, force is transmitted as pedals are stepped to advance, where a supporting rod for the pedal is fixed to a rotation shaft with a gear on which a chain is engaged. The pedal is stepped to be rotated from an uppermost position through a horizontal position to a lowest position for acceleration, while the supporting rod for pedal is elongated when the pedal is at the horizontal position, so the bicycle can be easily accelerated by large application of leverage. The supporting rod is contracted while the pedal is rotated from the lowest position backward to the uppermost position.
