PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an openable-type rake enabling sufficient cleaning operation without occupying a relatively wide space to hold. SOLUTION: This openable-type rake comprises a basal portion with one through-hole, a pivotal means attached to the basal portion and having an arc-shaped space, a plurality of tooth rods arranged in transverse alignment as a whole and attached openably to the pivotal means, an opening/closing control member provided with the same number of holes as that of the tooth rods with these holes threaded with the tooth rods respectively, a drive rod attached to the above control member on one end thereof and slidably threaded through the through-hole of the above basal portion, and a grip fixed to the other end of the drive rod. The tooth rods each has a cross section with major axis and minor axis, the major axis being in conformity with the direction of the transverse alignment.
