PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device for welding wire feed resistance with which the condition of a welding wire feed system is always grasped quantitatively and preventive maintenance can be made, consequently any post- countermeasures after the welding wire is fed abnormally is practiced. SOLUTION: This monitoring device for welding wire feed resistance comprises a welding wire, a welding wire feed means which is driven by a servo motor and feeds the welding wire, a wire feed control means which has at least feedback loop of the speed and the current, and feedback-controls the servo motor, a feed resistance measuring means to measure the resistance of a welding wire feeding passage from the torque information on the servo motor, and a display means to display the result of measurement of the feed resistance measuring means.
