PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene ether-based resin composition excellent in thermal stability, flame retardancy, heat resistance and impact resistance during retention at a high temperature. SOLUTION: The polyphenylene ether-based resin composition comprises (A), (B) and (C) below, and the contents of the components (B) and (C) are 1-70 pts.wt. and 0.1-10 pts.wt., respectively, based on 100 pts.wt. of the component (A). (A): A polyphenylene ether-based resin composition. (B): A phosphoric ester compound represented by formula (I): (wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a 1-20C organic group and all of them are not simultaneously a hydrogen atom; R5 is a 1-20C divalent organic group; p is 0 or 1; q is an integer of at least 1; and r is an integer of at least 0). (C): A composite metal hydroxide represented by formula (II): M+ M3+2(OH)-6(An-)1/n.mH2O (wherein M+ is a monovalent metal ion; M3+ is a trivalent metal ion; An- is an n-valent anion; n is an integer of at least 1; and m is a number of 0<=m<=3).
