A clamp for securing to a heat sink or other member 12, a heat dissipating device having a body part 11 which extends above a flanged part I 1a, comprises two lengths of strip material 13 adapted to be disposed on opposite sides of the body part, each having an edge adapted to bear against the flanged part to press the device into contact with the member 12, with the opposite faces of the strip material extending substantially perpendicular to the surface of the member engaged by the device, the lengths of strip material extending in opposite directions beyond the device and being adapted to be secured to the member. As shown, the strips form part of an endless band secured by screws 14, the lower edge of the band lying in two planes inclined at a small angle to the base 11a. In a modification, Figs. 3-5 (not shown) the band is distorted to make the length of the minor axis at the top edge of the band greater than the lengths of the minor axis at the bottom of the band. |
