PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which filler liquid being filled at the time of shipment does not adhere easily to a substrate. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises a cartridge case 6 for mounting an ink cartridge 2, and a head body for ejecting ink fed from the ink cartridge 2 wherein the ink cartridge 2 is provided with a cartridge substrate 8 being connected with a recorder side substrate 7. The cartridge case 6 is provided with a cut 22 being fixed with a contact member 9 for connecting the cartridge substrate 8 with the recorder side substrate 7. Since a groove 23 serving as a liquid holding space is formed in the cut 22, filler liquid or ink leaking from the recorder is held in the groove 23 and scarcely adhere to the recorder side substrate 7 which can thereby be protected against failure due to adhesion of liquid. |
