PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attempt the reduction of a replacement cost, the saving of resources, the protection of environment, etc., by making only a filter medium replaceable and to make the filter medium replaceable easily without need for special care by preventing excessive development when the filter medium is replaced. SOLUTION: The filter medium 2 has a pitch regulation member 11 which allows a filter medium sheet folded in the shape of pleats so that the pleats are folded completely and regulates the pitch between the pleats to restrict its expansion to a prescribed value. The member 11 is a belt-shaped body which, with the pitch set at a prescribed value, is stretched in the repetition direction of the pleats, mounted on the ridgeline of the folding part of each pleat, and bonded by an adhesive 12.
