PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a webpage to automatically set up screen size are provided to offer a webpage suitable for the screen size of a web browsing unit connected to a web server so that a user can come into contact with webpages at an optimum screen state. CONSTITUTION: If a user computer requests a service provider server to provide information through an Internet network(201), the server confirms whether screen size information was inputted from the user computer(202). If it was inputted, the server provides the user computer the webpage of information fetched from a database storing a webpage suitable for the screen size information of the user computer(203). Meanwhile, in case that the screen size information of the user computer was not inputted, the server confirms whether the user computer's intrinsic ID was inputted(204). If the ID was inputted, the server searches a user information database to confirm whether the screen size information of the user computer is constructed(205). If the screen size information of the user computer is constructed, the server reads the screen size information from the user information database(206). Then the server reads the webpage of requested information from the database storing the webpage suitable for this screen size, and provides it to the user computer through the Internet network(207).
