摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shock and fluctuation of a steering angle when motion of an operation member is transmitted to a steering gear to be failsafe, in a steering gear device for a vehicle for changing the steering angle without connecting the operation member mechanically to the steering gear. SOLUTION: A switching means 62 arranged in a pressurized fluid flow passage between a pump 41 and a hydraulic actuator 51 operated in response to an operation of the operation member 1 is switched to a condition released from a pressurized fluid when motion of an electric actuator 2 is transmitted to the steering gear 3 in response to the operation of the operation member 1, and is switched to a fluid pressure-applied condition when the motion of the actuator 2 is released from the transmission to the steering gear 3. Supply of the pressurized fluid from the pump 41 to the hydraulic actuator 51 is released when the switching means is under the fluid pressure-released condition, and the fluid is supplied from the pump 41 to the actuator 51 when the means is under the pressurized fluid-applied condition. The motion of the hydraulic actuator 51 actuated by the supply of the pressurized fluid is transmitted to wheels via the steering gear 3.
