PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-open packaging bag made of a laminate sheet using synthetic paper as a core layer wherein a tear-open line runs linearly when opening so that the bag can be reliably, smoothly and neatly opened. SOLUTION: The easy-to-open packaging bag is made of the laminate sheet comprising the synthetic paper (2G) as the core layer (2) equipped with an external layer (1) on one of its surfaces and with an internal layer (3) on the other surface while the innermost of the internal layer (8) comprises a sealant layer (38). The synthetic paper (2G) constituting the core layer (2) comprises a biaxially oriented product wherein a degree of orientation in a direction X of opening the bag is larger than that in a direction Y at the right angle with the direction of opening the bag. When tear strength in the direction X is x(gf) and tear strength in the direction Y at the right angle therewith is y(gf), the bag is designed to satisfy all relations of (1) 40<=x<=150, (2) 100<=y<=250, and (3) 1.5<=y/x<=5.0.
