PURPOSE: A gas burner also using a charcoal fire is provided to use both gas and a charcoal fire for a single burner unit efficiently by laying a gas burner or a charcoal stove on a heater setting portion. CONSTITUTION: A gas burner also using a charcoal fire consists of: a burner(5) having a gas feed pipe(1) for feeding gas and a head(4) for burning the gas; a coil spring(7) for moving the burner up and down; an air feed pipe(10) for supplying external air to a charcoal stove(17) laid on a grill(4a) of the burner; and a lifting member for limiting the up-and-down motion of the burner. To heat a roast panel with a charcoal fire of the stove, the charcoal stove is laid on the grill. The end of the air feed pipe is inserted into an air intake pipe(2) integrally fixed to the lower portion of the head. At the same time, the coil spring is contracted to secure a specific gap between a charcoal fire and the roast panel. An upper bracket(13) fixed to the gas feed pipe is moved along a long hole of a lower bracket to keep the balance for the up-and-down motion of the burner. The air intake pipe is assembled with the air feed pipe to supply external air to the lower portion of the charcoal stove. Therefore, smooth charcoal fire is promoted.
