PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to achieve improved reliability by ensuring an electrical connection between terminal and terminal connection conductive film and maintaining stable focus voltage over a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube includes an electron gun which has an anode(1) functioning as the sixth grid electrode to which a maximum voltage is applied, an intermediate grid electrode(2) to which the voltage divided by a voltage dividing resistor(10) is applied, the fifth grid electrode group(3) constituted by a plurality of electrodes forming a main lens for focusing the electron beam emitted from a cathode(K), the fourth grid electrode(4), the third grid electrode(5), the second grid electrode(6) and the first grid electrode(7). Each electrode has an outer edge partially buried into a pair of insulating support levers(9). The sixth grid electrode has a shield cup(8) attached thereto. The voltage dividing resistor is attached to the insulating support lever for fixing electrode groups of electron gun. The voltage dividing resistor has terminals(11,12,13). wherein the terminal(13) is connected to a side wall of the shield cup where the anode voltage is applied, the terminal(12) is connected to the intermediate grid electrode, and the terminal(11) is grounded.
