PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breakage detector of a tool having a tool abutting bar at a low total cost including a maintenance cost. SOLUTION: An air supply block 13 and a bearing block 15 having an exhaust hole 17 are mounted to the base end and the tip of a casing 12. A rotation shaft 21 that extends from the inside to the outside of the casing 12, has the tool abutting bar 30 at its tip, and has a ventilation hole 27, radial ventilation holes 28a, 28b are mounted on the bearing block 15, rotatably between a breakage detecting position where the radial ventilation hole 28b communicates to the exhaust hole 17 and a detection waiting position where the radial ventilation hole 28a communicates to the exhaust hole 17. In the casing 12, the air supply block 13 is connected to the rotation shaft 21 through an elastic air pipe 31, and the rotation shaft 21 is engaged with a spring 33 for rotating the rotation shaft 21 so as to take the detection waiting position in a torsion state about the axis of the elastic air pipe 31.
