PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella holding device for fishing fixable onto a sqaure lumber having a rectangular cross section and capable of engaging a fish cage. SOLUTION: This umbrella holding device 1 for fishing is composed by connecting a fixing mechanism 10 fixed to the square lumber to the lower end of an extensible shaft 30 having an umbrella holding mechanism 40 for holding a holding part J of the umbrella at the tip so as to make the angle regulable. The fixing mechanism 10 is formed by oppositely arranging a fixed part 12 and a bearing part 13 at both edges of the undersurface of a substrate 11, screwing a screw spindle 14 into the bearing part 13, attaching a pressurizing plate 15 to the tip on the side of the fixed part 12 of the screw spindle 14 and freely rotatably attaching a handle 16 to the other side. A pedestal part 17a in a truncated conical form is raised from the lateral edge on the side of the bearing part 13 on the top surface of the substrate 11 and a hook 17 prepared by connectedly installing a spherical antislip 17b having a larger diameter than that of the tip of the pedestal part 17a for hooking the fish cage to the tip of the pedestal part 17a is formed.
